Moddow ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Moddow web application and related services (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the Service, including when you sign in, create organizations and businesses, or use workspace features.
1. Who we are
The Service is provided by the Moddow team. For data protection inquiries, contact us using the details you publish on your public site or support channel once available.
2. Information we collect
- Account and identity. When you authenticate (for example with Google), we receive identifiers and profile basics such as email and name from your identity provider, and we store a profile linked to your user id.
- Workspace and business data. Content you or your team enter, such as business names, menu or inventory items, chatbot settings, and operational records you choose to store in Moddow.
- Technical data. IP address, device and browser type, and logs needed for security, debugging, and analytics. We may use product analytics (for example Google Analytics) to understand usage in aggregate.
3. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To authenticate users and enforce access controls (including organization and business membership).
- To communicate about the Service, security, and policy updates.
- To comply with law and protect rights, safety, and integrity of users and the Service.
4. Legal bases (where applicable)
Depending on your jurisdiction, we rely on performance of a contract, legitimate interests (such as securing the Service), and consent where required (for example certain cookies or marketing communications).
5. Sharing and subprocessors
We use infrastructure and service providers to run Moddow, including hosting, database, authentication, and analytics. Data may be processed on servers in regions where those providers operate. We require subprocessors to protect information appropriately. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Retention
We retain information as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Some data may persist in backups for a limited period.
7. Security
We implement technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. In the Philippines, the Data Privacy Act of 2012 may grant you rights with respect to personal information we process as a personal information controller; you may lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission where applicable.
9. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
10. International transfers
If you access the Service from outside the country where our providers process data, your information may be transferred across borders subject to appropriate safeguards where required by law.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version and update the effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
12. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact us through your published Moddow support or legal contact.
